Welcome

My name is Leurette C. LaBobe, I am a Mi'kmaq/Maliseet woman from Membertou First Nation and a Master of Social Work graduate from Wilfrid Laurier University.

My healing journey has been both personal and professional- guided by love for my five children, cultural practices such as beadwork and movement, and the enduring memory of my best friend, Carissa Saray. This journey has shaped not only who I am, but how I walk alongside of others. For over eight years, I have been committed to healing from intergenerational trauma, grief, and loss, and I remain deeply grateful for the teachings that continue to guide my family and my work.

I am an Indigenous Wholistic Practitioner with 12 years of experience in the helping field. My work centers around Indigenous mental health, addiction recovery, and aftercare supports rooted in culture, safety, and lived experience. I have worked as a residential support worker in women's recovery setting and I have created and facilitated my own relapse prevention programming, and lately have been working on a Seven Sacred Teachings Aftercare program within my own community.

I believe healing is most powerful when it is culturally grounded, trauma-informed, and led by Indigenous voices. My vision is to expand accessible, Indigenous-led aftercare services that honour our stories, our resiliencem and our right to heal in ways that feel safe and true.

My Vision & Mission Statement:

Sacred Path Healing Centre is a multifaceted wellness business offering yoga, counselling services, relapse prevention as aftercare support, and culturally safe and relevant consultation services.

As a Wholistic Practitioner, I've realized the need for holistic and integrated wellness services that address the individual as a whole: the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. I have also seen that Traditional approaches often treat these aspects separately, leading to fragmented care.

My Vision:

To be a leading resource in community for holistic wellness, empowering individuals to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

My Mission:

To provide comprehensive wellness services, including yoga, mental health counselling, relapse prevention, wellness retreats, and consulting that is tailored to the unique needs of Indigenous peoples and communities.

My Goal:

To own and operate a wholistic organization to support and meet the mental, emotial, spiritual, and cultural needs and components of Indigenous People through elements of teaching:

  • Mindfulness: This is the practice of being fully aware and focused in the present instead of worrying about the past or future.

  • Distress tolerance: This involves understanding and managing your emotions in difficult or stressful situations without responding with harmful behaviors.

  • Interpersonal effectiveness: This means understanding how to ask for what you want and need and setting boundaries while maintaining respect for yourself and others.

  • Emotional regulation: This means understanding, being more aware of and having more control over your emotions.

Sacred Path Healing Center provides a comprehensive approach by combining yoga’s physical and mental benefits counselling, relapse prevention strategies, and expert consulting.
